When Aspasia was originally introduced in 2001 it was a radical departure from what had existed before when nearly all residential property software products were desktop solutions running on a PC.  Aspasia was the first serious product in this market to be totally web based. It pioneered the development of Internet solutions and moreover was available only as a rental solution with minimal up front setup costs which again has now become the norm. Additionally, it offered a fully featured lettings and property management aspect which remained unique on the Internet for several years before other web based competitors began to appear.

 

The benefits of web based solutions over their desktop competitors became more and more obvious as the years passed by until we reached the current situation where they are universally accepted as the way to go for customers of all sizes and disciplines.  Aspasia itself continued to grow in stature as time went by and was adopted by more and more "blue chip" customers once it's power, sophistication and reliability became more widely appreciated and it is now utilised by many of the biggest names in the residential property marketplace.  The original Aspasia will remain available alongside Aspasia Cloud for the foreseeable future.

 

Original Aspasia is, however, only available for use within Interner Explorer as it relies on certain Microsoft components to interact with Microsoft Word for correspondence which is itself a desktop product and therefore based on a different architecture.  This interaction of two different architectures results in a slight delay when letters are produced due to the need for documents to be uploaded and downloaded from the Internet as part of the mail merging process.  Aspasia Cloud cannot be used with Microsoft Word but it offers the ability to use it's own web based word processing facility combined with Google Apps which is much faster as it doesn't need to interact with a desktop based product.  This will appeal to a significant number of customers who want to free themselves from the costs or speed delays associated with a desktop product or those who want to use the word processing aspects of Aspasia from other Internet connected devices or browsers.

 

Aspasia Cloud is a totally new product which takes all the functionality of the original Aspasia and expands it into new pioneering areas thus regaining a significant lead over all other products in the marketplace.
