Company policy regarding pricing When Aspasia was first introduced we set out with certain guiding principles related to pricing policy which remain unchanged today. Briefly they are...
We have forsaken business in the past by sticking to our principles and not entering into negotiations regarding pricing. We firmly believe this is in the best long term interests of both the company and its customers. Software needs to be seen and recognised for what it is - a crucial part of a customer's business mix that operates alongside far more expensive items like staff costs. We believe it is foolhardy to regard software as an expense item rather than as an investment and as a consequence to make inappropriate decisions regarding procurement. "You get what you pay for" as they say. | ![]() General points It is very easy to assume that all software products are the same, and to come to unfair and ill considered conclusions that may ultimately impact on a customer organisation and its ability to perform adequately and competitively in their market. In fact all products are very different and these differences critically impact on the prices charged for them. We have tried hard to illustrate the differences between Aspasia, Aspasia Cloud and competitor products throughout this site. Aspasia and Aspasia Cloud are the largest software solutions in the market place built on the most sophisticated and powerful database available in the world. The development and support costs are therefore considerably higher than competitor products and as such Aspasia cannot operate at the budget end of the market. Nearly all competitor web based products put all customers into the same database and differentiate them simply by login access. This is fine for smaller customers but would be inherently very risky for larger operations. Every Aspasia customer has their own database instance which can be managed totally separately and offers customers the ability to maintain their own IT infrastructure if they so wish in terms of hosting. Aspasia has an excellent proven record of handling databases containing many thousands of customer records (sales, tenancies, etc.) which themselves create many millions of supporting records. We do not believe there are many (if any) competitors with this level of proven track record. Aspasia is capable of handling any size of database without any material degradation in performance which is of paramount importance to the larger organisation or any company with significant growth plans. |
